About Us
Cherox Don Juan, my beautiful bay Arabian
Before we go any further, this is a model horse site, if you have come looking for real horses than I'm sorry I do not have any featured here.
I fell in love with the Arabian breed at a young age and once I discovered The Australian Arabian Horse News in the local newsagent, I feel in love with El Shaklen and his son Amir El Shaklen. Crabbet Arabians have always fascinated me, as my own Arabian is Crabbet/Babson Egyptian/Spanish/Egyptian/Australian Foundation bred. His show name is Cherox Don Juan, hence the name 'Cherox Park' is named after my beautiful horse. I have recently obtained a property on which to run my Arabian as he was agisted at a nearby property. I then purchased a Shetland Pony mare named Honey as a companion for my Arab. She's so sweet and lovable with a gentle nature.
I have had lots to do with horses, mainly Arabians and Arabian derivatives. I started riding at the age of 8 years old, my parents gave me riding lessons and I loved it! I have ridden in a few local shows and done well, but due to no horse float of my own sadly I have not been able to compete for a number of years now. I was given my first horse (Cherox Don Juan) in 2004, he was a rescue mount and I have had him for 6 years now. He is the most playful, loyal and cheeky horse I have ever known! By owning an Arabian, it has made me love and appreciate the Arabian breed even more.
I first discovered breyer model horses in 2004 in a Horsepower Magazine the August issue (the same month I got my horse!). I joined up to their model horse club and hence Cherox Park was born. My collection since then has grown slowly. When I got my first digital camera I started taking photos of them and fiddling around. My first breyer was an OF Stablemate walking Quarter Horse stallion. I have over 200 models (including Peter Stone, Breyer and Schleich models), but sadly I do not have the time to show all of them.
